Summary

[edit]
Description
English: An example of some of my early work.

Djuradj Vujcic: Tell me something about yourself. Where were you born, when...things like that.
Arthur Zaslavski: I was born in Belarus.
Djuradj Vujcic: What city?
Arthur Zaslavski: City is Brest, 1984, April 29th. I lived though in Estonia for seven years.
Djuradj Vujcic: Estonia?
Arthur Zaslavski: Yeah, I was only born in Belarus. Moved to Estonia, lived there til I was about eight. Moved here and now I'm twenty-three so most of my soccer has been basically brought up here.
Djuradj Vujcic: What team did you play for before?
Arthur Zaslavski: When I was younger I started here with Spartacus. My father was a coach – also coached professional in the Soviet Union and he taught me everything I know basically.
Other reporter: What's your dad's name?
Arthur Zaslavski: Pavel. Pavel Zaslavski. Yeah, he coached Zvezda. So yeah, everything that you see here, my skill, it's all been done basically 95% by my dad. There's been some outsiders here and there but the teams that I played for were Spartacus starting in '95. I was a striker. I started at the age of ten. At the age of thirteen, I switched to goalkeeper and from that point on, for ten years now, I've been playing goalkeeper.
Djuradj Vujcic: Who was your idol growing up? Lev Yashin?
Arthur Zaslavski: No, no (laughs). First, it was Peter Schmeichel but then after he retired it switched to Buffon.
Djuradj Vujcic: Did you, kind of, study them and...?
Arthur Zaslavski: No, not really. I didn't really study them too much but I just like Buffon especially because he started at the age of seventeen to play for Serie A, right – Parma. So that was kind of my inspiration because I also wanted to go pro at a young age.
Djuradj Vujcic: What do you think of the Serbian White Eagles – the team and the staff?
Arthur Zaslavski: Oh, I love it. It's a very good environment here. You know, everybody is friendly. They invited me here well so I feel like I'm part of the family now and I hope I'll have a good future here with the team.
Djuradj Vujcic: Alright, thanks.

Arthur Zaslavski: Yeah, no problem.
