| Description |
English: Disused quarry, Quernmore Just a scoop out of the hillside on the moor near to the road. Perhaps it was used to obtain road stone. I have now been informed that an Irishman used to sit by the nearby cattle grid breaking up the stones for the road, a reminder that roads were surfaced with broken stone until the early 20C. |
