Description
Nederlands: Devotieprentje (Franciscus Huberti, Antwerpen, 1656-1687) met afbeelding van een corpus van Christus (de "Zwarte Christus"). Onder en naast het corpus drie biddende en geknielde mensen (één vrouw met een zwart duiveltje dat ontsnapt, één man met krukken). Verschillende ex voto's (voet, borst, ogen, kruk). Onder de prent de Franse tekst: "Cecy est le vray pourtrait de Cruci/ fix miraculeux chez les Religieuses/ dames blanches a Matricht lequel/ est crue d'une noix a la hauteur/ de six pieds". Onderaan rechts: "F. Huberti.". Het 13e-eeuwse beeld van de Zwarte Christus werd eeuwenlang vereerd in het Wittevrouwenklooster aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht. Na de opheffing van het klooster in 1796 verhuisde het beeld naar de Sint-Martinuskerk in Wyck, waar de devotie werd voortgezet. Formaat: 7,4 x 4,8 cm.
