[edit]DescriptionDemolition of St Joseph's Convalescent Home (2), Horsforth, Leeds - geograph.org.uk - 1537067.jpg |
English: Demolition of St Joseph's Convalescent Home (2), Horsforth, Leeds. This is a view of one of the 2 Victorian Houses which had been extended and joined by modern infill. Seen here from Outwood Lane. The developer's plans indicate that standing in this position I would be looking at the outside wall of the chapel of the new care home, behind which would be a taller building of 3 and 4 storeys.
Much of this area of Horsforth consists of Victorian houses of various sizes, although to the right of St Joseph's is a block of sheltered flats, Sandywood Court, probably built in the 1960s or 70s. In this picture you can see that the roof tiles have been removed from part of the house. See also 1537047 where the sequence starts. |
