Six Democratic Candidates for Texas governor debated the issues at San Antonio's Central Library in the run up to the March 6, 2018 primary election.

The candidates fielded questions about healthcare, jobs and criminal justice from Bexar County Democratic Party Chairman Manuel Medina during the Feb. 14 debate in San Antonio's Central Library auditorium.

The candidates who participated were Andrew White, of Houston who is the son of former Texas governor Mark White; Cedric Davis, the former mayor of Balch Springs near Dallas; Dallas businessman Jeffrey Payne; Joe Mumbach, of Houston, a self-employed audio-video technician Former Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez, Tom Wakely who runs private care for hospice patients in his San Antonio home.
