Description
English: Relief shown by hachures. Hand colored to show county areas and D.C. Prime meridian: U.S. Capitol, Washington D.C. "Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1833 by Illman & Pilbrow in the Clerk's office in the District Court for the Southern District of New York." Map page removed from Burr's "New universal atlas" published by D.S. Stone [1835?] Includes inset of "The westerm part of Maryland" (Allegheny County). Atlas page number in right margin at bottom: 41. Available also through the Library of Congress Web site as a raster image.
