Português: NBR NOTÍCIAS - 28.08.12: O dia 29 de agosto é considerado o Dia Nacional de Combate e Prevenção ao escalpelamento. O acidente é muito comum na região Amazônica, quando o couro cabeludo, principalmente de mulheres com cabelos longos, é arrancado por motores de barco. Segundo o subdefensor federal, Afonso Carlos do Prado, o acidente ainda é muito comum devido à necessidade do uso de barcos com eixos centrais para o transporte de passeiros. O governo federal, em conjunto com vários parceiros, realiza ações preventivas e ações de apoio às vítimas. Dados da Defensoria Pública da União mostram que, desde 2005, foram registrados mais de 400 casos de escalpelamento em todo o país. |
