This is an AI redub made as described in Help:AI video dubbing. Steps:

  • This was made with this tool for "Subtitles to Audio with Synchronized ai Speech" (and probably there are better free tools for this): https://speechgen.io/en/subs/
  • There I entered the subtitles (copy and paste from the file's timedtext which I had previously created using a free machine translation tool)
  • There probably is some site where one can swap the audio or add audio to the video but the ones I found add a watermark and/or only export at lower resolution and also not as webm so I used ffmpeg instead
  • First I muted the video with ffmpeg, then I added this generated audio which I had downloaded as ogg file, then I added the German-language audio as a second audio channel (the file has multiple audio channels so if you download the file you can choose the language)
The English subtitles should not be added until there is a way to hide English subtitles by default.
