Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Davy Down Pumphouse This is the old Pumping Station on Davy Down country park http://www.davydown.org.uk/. The Pump House was Opened in 1927 and housed two large diesel engines to pump water from a borehole about 140 feet deep. One of the engines still remains in what is now the visitor centre. Today the water is pumped by electric pumps that could be housed in something not much bigger than a garden shed!
