Description Ionian Sea. Crew members prepare to remove the Fresnel lens optical landing system from the aircraft carrier USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67). The system was damaged when the carrier collided with the guided missile cruiser USS BELKNAP (CG 26) during night operations on November 22, 1975.
