| Description |
English: Cromwell Wood Lane, Brookfoot, Southowram. This lane leads up to former quarries. Despite the name, it does not lead directly to Cromwell Wood, but joins Brier Lane, where a right turn goes up to Southowram church and a left to Cromwell Bottom. These are public footpaths, although before Elland Road (which is across the bottom of the photo)was built in the 19C they must surely have been used by horse-riders. |
