Description
English: Sound examples of analog delay auto-oscillation and pitch shifting. Plugin used : amplitube 4, Fender delay simulation.

Guitar (Octave fuzz + tube overdrive, HT Dual) into soundcard.

Auto-oscillation occurs when maxing the feedback of the delay; turning the time knob produces pitch shifting effects. In this case, the delay time was set to note subdivisions (1/4, 1/8th, etc), thus peculiar pitch shifting effect.
Français : Démonstration de l'auto-oscillation d'un délai analogique (ici une simulation a été utilisée, plugin Amplitube 4, simulation de delay Fender). Guitare avec octafuzz et overdrive à lampe (HT Dual). L'auto-oscillation se produit lorsque le réglage de feedback est au maximum; en faisant varier le réglage de temps (time), la hauteur du signal augmente (en réduisant le time) ou diminue (en augmentant le time). La particularité de cet enregistrement, c'est que le temps du delay est calé sur des subdivisions précises (croche, croche pointée, etc). Du coup, tourner le potard de time fait "sauter" le temps de delay entre plusieurs valeurs fixes, ce qui explique l'effet sonore obtenu.
