Summary
[edit]DescriptionCraik, tree eater - geograph.org.uk - 105720.jpg |
English: Craik: tree eater. The days of chainsaws are over in the factory forests. Machines like this Timberjack harvester can quickly cut the tree and then strip the trunk of sprags and foliage. I once worked on restoring a woodland by de-sitkaing it with a hand saw and billhook. Taken from the Craik road, about as close as I ever want to get to one of these beasts. |
