Notes
  • Significance: Building U is a contributing element of the Mare Island Historic District. Building U (Quarters U) is important as the last of the Colonial Revival officers' quarters to be built along Cedar and Walnut Avenues. Chronologically, the building was constructed about halfway between the first wave of Colonial Revival homes, which were built in 1900, and the build-up of housing during World War II.
  • Survey number: HABS CA-1543-BC
