Notes
  • Significance: Building A58 is a contributing element of the Mare Island Historic District. Building A58 is important to Mare Island in two respects: as an example of the long-standing tradition of the Navy building homes for prized civilian employees who were needed on a 24-hour basis; and as an important element of the historic building stock in the Ammunition Depot area of the station. It appears that Building A58 was the last of the homes to be constructed in the Ammunition Depot area, although the history of this building has not been recorded in detail.
  • Survey number: HABS CA-1543-CE
