Português: A plasticidade cerebral tem se tornado ponto de estudo para entender as mudanças causadas na remodelação do cérebro, sobretudo nos reflexos da lesão do plexo braquial. Ana Carolina Schmaedeke, fisioterapeuta e doutoranda do Laboratório de Neurociências e Reabilitação da UFRJ, explica que "essa plasticidade é o princípio do funcionamento do nosso sistema nervoso e que está o tempo todo se remodelando de acordo com as nossas experiências. São essas modificações nas estruturas que permitem que a gente armazene memórias e aprenda coisas novas, inclusive novas habilidades motoras".
