Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.; De Duitse componist Richard Strauss (1864-1949) bij zijn aankomst uit Berlijn in Amsterdam. Strauss was in Nederland in verband met het Straussfestival dat werd gehouden van 9 tot 25 januari 1924 en werd georganiseerd als huldeblijk aan de 60-jarige componist. Voor deze gelegenheid werden diverse composities van Strauss uitgevoerd door o.a. het Concertgebouworkest. Ook werd een speciale Straussmunt geslagen. De componist zelf, op het Centraal Station ontvangen door leden van het Concertgebouwbestuur, zou eigen werk dirigeren tijdens "volksconcerten" in Amsterdam en Den Haag. Shots: (locatie: voor het Concertgebouw) Strauss loopt op de camera af en kijkt zelfbewust de lens in. Wachtende auto met chauffeur op de achtergrond.
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.; The German composer Richard Strauss (1864-1949) during his arrival from Berlin in Amsterdam. Strauss was in the Netherlands for the Straussfestival, which was held from 9 until 25 January 1924 and was organised as a tribute to the 60-year-old composer. For this occasion serveral works by Strauss were performed by a.o. the Concertgebouworkest (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra). A special Strauss coin was also struck. The composer himself would conduct his own work during "people's concerts" in Amsterdam and The Hague. He was welcomed by members of the Concertgebouw management at the Central Station.
