| Description |
English: Conspiracy theorists complain about the different sizes of the Earth continents from NASA pictures and claim they are fake due to that. However, the varying size proportions can easily explained by the result of perspective, focal lenght, angle view and angular size. This experiment simulates two Blue Marble NASA pictures using a toy globe. The fist picture was taken was taken close with a wide angle phone camera lens, which makes the USA look bigger. The second picture was taken a few meters away and zoomed in with a Panasonic Lumix. The USA looks smaller and South America is visible
