Description
English: It was such a different time. The only time a presidential candidate after Stevenson even attempted to explain things intelligently was Ross Perot. Of course Perot was made to look like a nutter after complaining that his life was threatened for trying to get elected as President. Given the recent revelations of corruption I would not be surprised if Perot was threatened. As to Stevenson, in the parlance of the time, was too much of an egghead to win- Eggy for short. We like our candidates to act like the neighbor next door- someone you could have a beer with.
