Description
English: A plaque commemorating the inauguration of the Edwin Young Gallery in this building, later to become the library until 1975, in Chipper Lane Salisbury. The building now houses offices.
The legend reads - "This gallery was built A.D. 1913 and was presented by Edwin Young citizen of Salisbury to the mayor and corporation together with upwards of 300 original drawings by the donor of picturesque buildings and places of natural charm in the neighbourhood of Salisbury, to form the nucleus of an art collection and made free to the city by the accompanying endowment"
