The drinking fountain dated 1910 is dedicated to Watson Askew Robertson, Lord of the Manor of Howtel near Flodden, see http://communities.northumberland.gov.uk/Howtel.htm . The Cement Menagerie has passed 'its day', but see http://www.alnwick.org.uk/menag.htm . It once figured in a bicycle film. |
