Summary
[edit]DescriptionCodyWilson-2014.png |
English: Garret Ean of http://freeconcord.org sits down with Cody Wilson of Austin, Texas-based Defense Distributed at the 2014 New Hampshire Liberty Forum. Cody overviews some of the intellectual property concerns raised by introducing 3-D printed firearm technology into the public domain and how the US government claims IP rights on all munitions technology produced by humans claimed to be their citizens. Currently, it is a violation of US trade regulations to host the information on how to print a firearm, even though it is not illegal for an individual to manufacture a firearm from personal use in the United States. Defense Distributed has released plans for printing extended rifle magazines, lower receivers for rifles, as well as the Liberator, the first polymer printed pistol to fire a round, which was chambered in .380 caliber. Filmed on Saturday, February 22 2014 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Nashua, NH. All media creative commons, copying is not theft and sharing is caring |
