Description
English: New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina: Zoom view across the Industrial Canal towards the breach on the lower side of the canal back from Claiborne Avenue and the still-barricaded off section of the Lower 9th Ward. Seen from the Upper 9th Ward side of the still closed Claiborne Avenue Bridge. Visible are a breached section of levees & floodwalls plugged with temporary fill, with work continuing on filling the breach, and an area behind the breach largely devoid of standing buildings.
