Church, Metlakahtla, B.C. (English)
On back of photo: The church Mr. Duncan built in Metlakahtla, B.C. This photo was taken after Bishop Ridley changed the entrance from the east to the west end going through the vestry. A portion of the fence was removed at the south corner and a board walk was laid to the vestry? There was an enclosure made at the east end of the church which used to be the front. This was done so that those attending the service could face the east and not the west while praying. The building at tthe left was Mr. Samuel Marsden's (father of Edward Marsden) house." (English)
