English: Additional File 1 Chromosomes of prophase nucleus of an embryo exposed to normoxia. Embryos were collected, and stained with DAPI and the mAb414 to recognize nuclear pore complex. Spinning disk confocal microscopy was used to obtain Z-stack images of the prophase nucleus. The movie (QuickTime Player 7.0.3) depicts a 9.2 μm region that includes the nucleus cross-sectioned every 0.2 μm for a total of 46 cross sections. DAPI and mAb414 images were merged to evaluate prophase chromosome location relative to the nuclear membrane. |
