Description
Deutsch: Hegge (Gemeinde Waltenhofen), westliches Illerufer gegenüber dem Kraftwerk Sulzberg-Au (MTB 8327/224):
Die Schöne Zaunwinde (Calystegia pulchra) ist in Süddeutschland nur an wenigen Orten als eingebürgerter Exot zu finden. Ein Verbreitungsschwerpunkt ist dabei das Oberallgäu ... seltsamerweise, denn Gründe dafür sind meines Wissens nicht bekannt.
Die rosa-weiße Färbung der Blüten erinnert an die Ackerwinde (Convolvulus arvensis), ist aber intensiver, und die Blüten sind wesentlich größer, noch größer als diejenigen der Gewöhnlichen Zaunwinde (Calystegia sepium). Die Pflanzen klettern bis etwa 3 Meter hoch in die Sträucher und Bäume des Gehölzstreifens am Rand des Uferwegs.
