In making the 1948 analysis the State was divided into the eight cateh districts and six residence areas outlined in the Appendix. Counties were combined in this way in order to obtain reasonably large samples. The general picture of 1948 trout angler migrations revealed by the 1948 postal card survey is outlined in Tables 8 and 9.
