| Description | Burtons Coaches bus (reg. V337 DBD), a 1999 Alexander ALX400 dual door bodied Dennis Trident. This was originally a demonstrator, loaned by Dennis to Dublin Bus, who numbered it DL2, with the Dublin 1999 registration (99-D-42). On return to the UK it was given this UK plate, but Burtons later re-registered it with the cherished plate, T50 BCL. It was later transferred to Network Colchester, at the time a Burtons subsidiary, where it reverted to the V-plate, and had the middle door removed. It was destroyed by an engine fire on 16 Feb 2008, at the A12/A120 interchange, while on a works contract for Grampian Country Food. All 11 people on board escaped. |
