Summary
[edit]DescriptionBunratty Folk Park - Loop Head House- Site^ 1 - geograph.org.uk - 1637780.jpg |
English: Bunratty Folk Park - Loop Head House- Site# 1 The folk park depicts life in the 19th century over an area of 26 acres that includes 30 buildings of various types in a rural and village setting. Costumed characters complete the depiction of life in various settings, including the Bean a Ti (woman of the house), R.I.C. policeman, schoolteacher, etc. Each exhibit is numbered and shown on the free Bunratty Folk Park Visitor Map, which I have not been able to find on the internet.
The Loop House (Site# 1) was utilized by small fisher-farming folk. The thatch was roped down for protection from Atlantic gales. |
