English: A bus stop in Barnes Wallis Drive, Brooklands, Surrey. When seen it was served by routes 51 and 436. Previously this was just a bus stand outside the Tesco and Marks & Spencer superstores for out of service buses to park. However, route 436 was amended from 22 October 2006. Previously it ran from Guildford, via Burpham, Ripley and Send to Woking and then onto Sheerwater, West Byfleet, Byfleet and Brooklands Tesco. From October 2006 it was withdrawn between Guildford and Woking, but extended from Byfleet to Weybridge railway station via Mercedes-Benz World. At first, buses no longer served Tesco, however unsurprisingly this was unpopular. The route was diverted, but instead of serving the bus stop outside the store entrances (inside the car park), it instead only ran to this new stop that was put up on the perimeter of the car park. Buses had to turn around on the roundabout to the entrance of the car park to get to it, and passengers had to walk through the car park to the outside to catch the 436 when other buses stopped inside still, so it wasn't a very good situation. As part of the Surrey County Council Bus Reviews Changes, Phase 1 effective 28 August 2010, route 436 was revised. It was extened to Weybridge Town, and also started to serve the bus stop inside the Tesco car park. Nevertheless this now redundant bus stop remained, and new route 51 (introduced as part of the changes), also now served this stop.
