| Description |
English: Bridge over Afon Rhaeadr. The single track road from Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant was being resurfaced and the bridge was closed to vehicles. That meant that the car park (£2) by the falls was inaccessible, so as it was a nice day the car parks on the map quickly filled. On the way out we met twenty vehicles that had no hope of parking, and little chance of turning round when they got to the traffic jam at the end. The men doing the work were very patient, despite having to stop every ten minutes or less to let another stream of hopeful sightseers through.
We saw the falls (in the background of the picture) and had a nice cup of chocolate in the cafe. |
