Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bradford-on-Avon Town Bridge. Bradford-upon-Avon gets it name from the "broad ford" across the Avon which was a crossing point until the original packhorse bridge was built in the 13th century. Arches from the original ancient bridge still survive, but over the centuries many repairs and alterations have been made, widening the bridge to twice its original width.
