| Description |
English: Border Hotel - free beer! The Border Hotel, Kirk Yetholm, in the days when Pennine Way walkers still got a free pint here, courtesy of Wainwright. This was slightly problematical, as we were under age when we walked, but the landlord was very astute and could definitely recognise people who had walked 250 miles to his pub and deserved a pint - we got mild. The photo was taken the next morning before we returned home at f/5.6 1/60th on Ferraniacolor CR50 film processed to give a speed of 40 ASA - you had to take notes in the days before digital cameras ! |
