[edit]DescriptionBlue Danube (Exercise and variations-collections in piano) JMC, Han.ogg |
English: To make this sound image of Blue Danube in piano (Collections of some variations for annually continuing exercises), my thinking is like:
1. Originally, its notation wasn't from piano but orchestration (In my world, I never saw or heard any pianists play it). 2. However, its beauties have been shared annually and wordwidely year by year. 3. Piano's solo-style should also accept aesthetic appreciation of Vienna School, especially this beautiful melody, deeply in heart, which from my earlier education was heard, till today. So long the time was, and why didn't I practice some? Evenly never a chance to the stage, in classroom and with some my students (Next generations rather than me), I think I should give my thanks to the Era. 4. Indeed, it's long time that I find Sir Chopin's many 'Independent fingering' techniques of waltz have been applied into this melody, especially left hand's accompaniment. Therefore, I think the training of it would help me improve my hands' controllability. 5. It can also motive my piano education (teaching and learning) to a higher level, in which we can try to realize some impossible & challenge points, such as solo for a band (just a try), and the long-distance flying of left hand as the accompaniment. 6. I will get a chance travelling in Vienna and right alongside the 'Blue Danube' - one of my dreamland from childhood. Though I have no-too-much money (myself), I thought the exercises of Blue Danube (though time is always limited for me, I would play it for long and submit different editions time after time), as a gift from a piano teacher's own heart, would be in romantic. 7. I heard: in this year's Vienna New Year's Concert in 'Golden Hall', Germany 'Big Bear' conductor used it as the exercises for the band in every time before the rehearsal. I thought why not in piano classroom? Therefore, though its length is in a huge paragraph and currently it was heard rough, I picked up some important variations for the piano exercises, which looks like a whole melody. Hopefully, someday I can get a total edition (heard mostly like) for performance. In addition, could you hear its magic power - a small unknown bird was always attempting to follow the melody in this sound image... |

For educational purpose, I think its framework is much better for piano techniques-training - including: Introduction (Andantino), A. Waltz (Main), B. Waltz (Development and Peak 1), C. Waltz (Development 2), and a Coda (Repetition and End). I left several variations, such as IV (Intrada), because it's so long, hard and complicated for piano (time limited). Later, I would add so... | ||
