Deutsch: Es erinnert an den Jagdflieger Horst Bilfinger aus Mannheim, der hier am 7. August 1943 im Kampf gegen amerikanische Bomber ums Leben kam. Der Eifelverein hat das Kreuz 2003 erneuert.
Français : Il commémore le pilote de chasse Horst Bilfinger de Mannheim, mort ici, à 23 ans, le 7 août 1943 dans le combat contre les bombardiers américains et enterré au cimetière mémorial d'Eupen. L'Eifelverein a renouvelé la croix en 2003.
Nederlands: Het herdenkt de gevechtspiloot Horst Bilfinger uit Mannheim, die hier op 7 augustus 1943 omkwam in de gevechten tegen Amerikaanse bommenwerpers. De Eifelverein heeft het kruis in 2003 vernieuwd.
English: It commemorates the fighter pilot Horst Bilfinger from Mannheim, who died here on 7 August 1943 in the fight against American bombers. The Eifelverein renewed the cross in 2003.
