English: Berrington's Quarry, Black Hill supplying granite for houses and roads until stopped my the Malvern Hills Conservators' Acts. Now a quiet spot high on the Malvern Hills ideal for a poetry evening. A regular place for people getting stuck attempting to climb the quarry face despite the, forever vandalised, warning notices. The remains of the top of the winding gear can be seen in the foreground. |
