English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Sculptor Mari Andriessen is now 70 years old. An honourary exhibition has been put up in the Vleeshal (Meat hall) in Haarlem, with a.o. the statues of composer Alphons Diepenbrock, a man in front og the firing squad, the flood of Walcheren and queen Wilhelmina. Andriessen receives several gifts at the exhibition and children of his brother, composer Hendrik Andriessen, play music. Also Andriessen at work in his studio. With the statues De Dokwerker (The Dock worker) in Amsterdam, De treurende weduwe (The grieving widow) in Putten, P.C. Lely at the Afsluitdijk (Enclosure dam) and the war monument in the city park of Enschede.

Beeldhouwer Mari Andriessen is 70 jaar geworden. In de Vleeshal te Haarlem is een eretentoonstelling ingericht, met oa de beeldhouwwerken van componist Alphons Diepenbrock, een man voor het vuurpeloton, de overstroming van Walcheren en koningin Wilhelmina. Andriessen krijgt op de tentoonstelling div. geschenken en kinderen van zijn broer, componist Hendrik Andriessen, maken muziek. Verder Andriessen aan het werk in zijn atelier. Met de beeldhouwwerken De Dokwerker te Amsterdam, De treurende weduwe te Putten, P.C. Lely op de Afsluitdijk en het oorlogsmonument in het Stadspark te Enschede. |
