| Description |
English: Bay south of Cummeen Rocky coastline in this pretty bay near Cummeen and Allihies. The clear blue waters look inviting but the rocky and treacherous coastline, together with the Blue Islands just visible above the water in the distance, made this a hazardous place to navigate, especially in the days of sail with strong westerlies coming in off the Atlantic. Admiralty guidance issued in 1887 warned navigators unfamiliar with the area not to go anywhere near it. |
