Description
English: German map for cotton cultivation in the former colony Togo by 1909/1910.

The then-common German name "Ginanlagen" (gin plants) has nothing to do with the production of spirits, but the term is derived from the English word

"engine" and features facilities for the processing of rough cotton.
Deutsch: Deutsche Karte zum Baumwollanbau in der damaligen Kolonie Togo von 1909/1910.

Die damals übliche deutsche Bezeichnung Ginanlagen hat nichts mit der Herstellung von Spirituosen zu tun, vielmehr ist der Begriff abgeleitet vom englischen Wort engine und kennzeichnet
