English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Hot iar ballons are prepared for the inetrnational race for the Coupe Andries Blitz in the Goffert Stadium in Nijmegen, with the 81-year-old tailor Cormier from Paris as the oldest participant and the 20-year-old Andrée van Gemert as the youngest participant. The Swiss Iselin is the first to go up in the air, followed by Nini Boesman with the Polygoon cameraman. The cameraman makes a report of the race. With a.o. shots of Roermond. The next day they pack up the balloon near Bitburg, where they landed at night, and the German police checks the papers. Boesman wins the race.

In het Goffert Stadion te Nijmegen worden luchtballons klaargemaakt voor de internationale race om de Coupe Andries Blitz, met de 81-jarige kleermaker Cormier uit Parijs als oudste deelnemer en de 20-jarige Andrée van Gemert als jongste deelnemer. De Zwitser Iselin gaat als eerste de lucht in, gevolgd door Nini Boesman met de Polygoon-cameraman. De cameraman doet verslag van de tocht. Met oa beelden van Roermond. De volgende dag ruimen ze de ballon op bij Bitburg, waar ze 's nachts zijn geland, en de Duitse politie de papieren controleert. Boesman wint de race. |
