Description
Français : Le Jikji est le plus ancien livre connu au monde imprimé à l’aide de caractères mobiles en métal. Cet ouvrage exceptionnel fut imprimé en Corée, en 1377, soit 78 ans avant l’impression de la célèbre Bible de Gutenberg.

Le Jikji contient les enseignements des patriarches et maîtres du bouddhisme Chan, recueillis et transcrits en chinois par le Révérend moine coréen Paegun. Il est exceptionnellement présenté dans l'exposition "Imprimer ! L’Europe de Gutenberg", à la BnF jusqu'au 16 juillet : https://www.bnf.fr/fr/agenda/imprimer-leurope-de-gutenberg
