Bahasa Indonesia: Sejarah pasar terapung di Kalimantan Selatan bermula dari berdirinya Kerajaan Banjar pada tahun 1520. Salah satu pasar terapung yang telah ada sejak zaman Kerajaan Banjar adalah Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan. Pasar Terapung di Desa Lok Baintan, Kecamatan Sungai Tabuk, Kabupaten Banjar ini adalah yang terakhir tersisa di Kalimantan Selatan. Dahulu pasar semacam ini banyak bertebaran di Kalimantan Selatan, tetapi sebagian besar telah punah. Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan berada di Sungai Tabuk yang merupakan anak Sungai Barito. Keberadaan Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan cukup dikenal oleh masyarakat yang menggunakan transportasi sungai melintasi Kerajaan Banjar menuju wilayah kerajaan lainnya melalui anak cabang Sungai Tabuk menuju Sungai Kuin di Banjarmasin. Aktivitas di Pasar Terapung Lok Baintan dilakukan di tengah sungai dengan menggunakan perahu atau jukung. Para pedagang menjajakkan dagangannya kepada calon pembeli yang juga menggunakan jukung. Menariknya, transaksi jual beli di pasar terapung ini tidak hanya menggunakan uang, tetapi juga dengan sistem barter yang dalam bahasa Banjar disebut bapanduk. Sistem transaksi bapanduk ini mereka lakukan dengan sesama pedagang. Mereka menukarkan barang dengan barang lain yang mereka butuhkan. Mekanisme kerja sama antarpedagang melalui bapanduk ternyata menjadi katalis dalam menjaga hubungan di antara mereka.
English: The history of floating markets in South Kalimantan begins with the founding of the Banjar Kingdom in 1520. One of the floating markets that have existed since the Banjar Kingdom era is the Lok Baintan Floating Market. This floating market in Lok Baintan Village, Sungai Tabuk District, Banjar Regency is the last remaining in South Kalimantan. In the past, this kind of market was widely scattered in South Kalimantan, but most of it has become extinct. The Lok Baintan Floating Market is located on the Tabuk River which is a tributary of the Barito River. The existence of the Lok Baintan Floating Market is well known to the people who use river transportation across the Banjar Kingdom to other royal areas via a tributary of the Tabuk River to the Kuin River in Banjarmasin. Activities at the Lok Baintan Floating Market are carried out in the middle of the river by boat or jukung. Merchants peddle their wares to prospective buyers who also use jukung. Interestingly, buying and selling transactions at this floating market do not only use money but also a barter system, which in Banjar language is called bapanduk. They carry out this bapanduk transaction system with fellow traders. They exchange goods for other goods they need. The cooperation mechanism between traders through the bapanduk turned out to be a catalyst in maintaining relations between them.
