English: Aylesbury: Castle Street Those looking for a castle at the end of the street are, alas, going to be disappointed. There probably was a short-lived 12th century motte and bailey castle occupying the defensive hill-top around the Temple Square, from which the street gets its name, but no trace of it remains. |
