Description
English: Automobile road from Los Angeles to Bakersfield via Ridge Route. Part one: Los Angeles to Sandberg, 1922
  • Strip map of automobile route between Los Angeles and Sandberg. Bounded by: Crane Lake (top), Los Angeles (bottom), Santa Clara River (left), Pasadena (right). Due north is about 20 degrees right of vertical.
  • Principal features: municipalities, roads, railroads, road names, mileages, elevations, natural features. Other prominent locations: National Forest Inn, Ridge Road House, Castaic, Saugus, Newhall, San Fernando, Neenach, Van Nuys, Lankershim, Burbank, Roscoe, Glendale, Hollywood, Eagle Rock, Gouquet Canyon, Mint Canyon.
  • Printed at top is encircled part "1", at bottom is "324" and "W.N." Printed at bottom, outside of map itself, is "32", "822", "'Help prevent fires'" and "Accidents can be avoided. Do your share". On verso is notice to look for official hotels and garages with lists of 7 hotels and 62 garages in Los Angeles. The garages' addresses are listed as well.
