English: In Kundapura, Mangalorean Catholics protest the attack on Carmelite priest Fr. Sylvester Pereira, Br. Joyston Saldanha, Br. John Pradeep, Valerian D'Silva and Mukund Bhandary. They were assaulted in a hospital on 25 June 2007 by Hindu fundamentalists Andakatte Ramanna Shetty, and his accomplices: Raja, Prashanth, and Sudhakar, after being accused of paying people to convert. Furthermore, they were taken to a police station by the Hindu fundamentalists and an FIR was filed against the five victims, for attempting to forcibly convert Hindus. |
