English: 3D-structure movie of the PAX2 paired domain binding to DNA. 3D-structure images are shown in Fig 1 Ci-iv and Cv-vi, respectively. The 3D-structure of the paired domain is shown in S1 Movie. Changes in structure by G63S and R71T mutations are shown. Wild-type amino acids involved in DNA binding, glycine and arginine, are shown in red. These two non-polar amino acid residues were mutated to the polar amino acid residues, serine and threonine, respectively. |
