Description
English: From PastForward Online 2021 Are treaties made between United States government and American Indian Tribes relevant today? Walter Echo-Hawk, President of the Pawnee Nation and a panel of experts will discuss the recent Supreme Court case, McGirt v. Oklahoma, which held that half of Oklahoma is Indian land. Panel members from the National Archives and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture created Treaties Explorer, a new online tool that makes treaties with Native American Nations accessible to all.
