| Description |
English: An old hawthorn tree and Ashridge Monument This ancient meadow is marked on early 19th century maps. and is crossed by a public footpath. When I first visited some 40 years ago there were the remains of a wire fence alongside the footpath and several hawthorn trees. The fence has now been removed but this wizened tree remains. The National Trust Visitors Centre can be seen in the distance. |
