I found a copy that was made before the ending of the tape was destroyed. There's still some damage around the 59:00 mark but the video comes back. I upgraded the sound and video quality up to 480p. There's a little bonus at the end of Thile talking shop to a small group of people behind the stage after the show. Converting this from the old Hi-8 tapes was a bit of a chore but the end result is amazing. So glad I could share this awesome show with everybody. You couldn't cut the excitement of Grisman and Thile between songs with a chainsaw. And that guy offering up his mandocello to Thile was priceless. I can watch this over and over again and still be amazed. So much fun had by all. |
