Description
Deutsch: Albtrauf bei Talheim (Mössingen). Der Erdrutsch ereignete sich seit dem 2. Juni 2013 als Folge von schwerem Dauerregen. Bei diesem hat vollgesogener, rutschungsanfälliger Ornatenton (Brauner Jura) den Hangschutt und Felsschollen zum Abgleiten gebracht. Bis heute anhaltende Erosion, Tektonik und Frostsprengung durch Klüfte haben den Albtrauf vom vor 15Ma erloschenen Scharnhauser „Schwäbischen Vulkan“ mindestens um 19 km zurückverlegt (im Schlot nachgewiesenes Weißjura).
English: Albtrauf near Talheim (Mössingen), escarpment of strata from Early to Late Jurassic. The landslide happened on June 2nd, 2013, after lasting heavy rains. Wetted, clayish Middle Jurassic layers liquefied, making the slope and rock walls slide. Pertaining erosion, tectonics and weathering moved the Albtrauf at least 19 km since the extinction of the volcano in Stuttgart (Scharnhausen) 15Ma years ago (volcanic pipe contains Late Jurassic rock).
